“Murkomen Mistook Deceased Man for Woman” – Gikaria Reveals Embarrassing Campaign Mix-Up at Funeral

Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria has left audiences laughing after sharing an embarrassing incident involving Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen during the 2022 election campaigns.

Gikaria explained how the two politicians would make unexpected stops at gatherings as they campaigned for President William Ruto, hoping to interact with residents and seek votes.

According to the MP, whenever Murkomen spotted a tent, he would insist that they get out of their vehicle and go to pray for the President to receive votes from the people gathered there.

However, their enthusiasm to reach potential voters sometimes led to awkward encounters because they did not always know what kind of event was taking place before stopping.

Some tents they came across were set up for funerals, but the campaign team could not always tell the nature of the occasion from a distance.

In one particularly embarrassing moment, Murkomen reportedly assumed that the deceased was a woman, only to be informed that the person who had died was a man.

The mix-up happened during their impromptu visit to the funeral, highlighting how their determination to seize every opportunity to campaign could lead to unexpected situations.

Gikaria’s story has offered a humorous glimpse into the unpredictable side of political campaigns, where politicians often make spontaneous stops to connect with residents and win support.

During the 2022 election campaigns, Ruto and his allies travelled across the country to popularise their political agenda ahead of the August 9 General Election.

The incident serves as a reminder that even in the intense business of seeking votes, unexpected moments can turn into memorable stories long after the campaigns are over.
