The President expressed gratitude to the youths for their support, saying their energy, courage, determination and belief in a greater Nigeria reinforced his commitment to building a country that meets their aspirations.
Tinubu stated this in a message posted on his X handle following his meeting with members of the youth groups, who gathered from different parts of the country.
He said seeing the young men and women assembled in support of his administration reminded him of the future Nigeria could build through collective effort.
“When I walked into the hall yesterday and saw the young men and women of the City Boy Movement, Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, and other youth groups gathered from across our country, I saw something that reminded me why I sought the presidency of this great nation,” he said.
The President added, “I saw Nigeria. I saw its energy, its courage, its determination, and the future we are working to build together.”
He commended the youths for standing by him through difficult moments, defending their convictions and taking his message to communities across the country.
According to him, their continued belief in the promise of a greater Nigeria demonstrates the importance of young people to the country’s future.
Tinubu also expressed appreciation for their support, acknowledging that he had not always found the opportunity to personally convey his gratitude.
“There are words I do not say often enough, and yesterday, I wanted you to hear them directly from me.
“Thank you. Thank you for believing. Thank you for standing with me,” he said.
The President reaffirmed his commitment to building a Nigeria worthy of the confidence, sacrifices and aspirations of young Nigerians.
“I remain committed to building a Nigeria worthy of your faith, your sacrifices, and your aspirations.
“Together, we will deliver the future you deserve,” he added.
