Ghanaian forward Malik Abubakari has joined Portuguese club Torreense, opening a new chapter in a career that has already taken him across several European leagues.The striker arrives with valuable experience in Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Slovakia, and Denmark.Abubakari began his football journey with Charity Stars in Ghana before moving to Portugal to continue his development at Vizela. He later joined Moreirense but built his reputation through productive loan spells. At Fafe, he scored nine goals in 23 league appearances, while he registered 11 goals in 32 matches for Casa Pia during the 2020-21 campaign.The 26-year-old subsequently played for Malmo FF, HJK Helsinki, Slovan Bratislava and Viborg before joining Lyngby. His time at Malmo brought silverware, including the 2021 Swedish league title and the 2021-22 Swedish Cup. He also won league titles with HJK in Finland and Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia.Torreense will hope Abubakaris physical presence, familiarity with Portuguese football and wide-ranging experience can strengthen their attacking options.
