Hasat Bambra Enterprise, a Ghanaian skills development initiative founded by Hassana Issaka Bambara, is planning a soap-making training programme aimed at equipping women and young people in parts of Northern Ghana with practical skills for entrepreneurship and income generation.
The proposed Northern Ghana Soap-Making Workshop Initiative is expected to target communities in Nanton, Tolon, Kumbungu and Sagnarigu districts, with a focus on helping participants acquire skills that could support self-employment and sustainable livelihoods.
The programme, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to provide training in liquid soap, bleach and shower gel production.
Beyond the practical lessons, the initiative seeks to encourage participants to explore small-business opportunities by turning the skills acquired into products for the market.
Hasat Bambra Enterprise says the programme forms part of its broader commitment to making practical skills training more accessible, particularly to women and young people seeking financial independence.
The enterprise believes that combining hands-on training with entrepreneurial knowledge can create opportunities for individuals to develop their own businesses and improve their livelihoods.
As preparations continue, the enterprise hopes to engage local authorities, community leaders, development organisations and potential partners to support the implementation of the workshops.
Hon. Haruna Issah is identified in the initiative’s plans as a proposed liaison for Northern Ghana, with a role expected to involve stakeholder communication and partnership engagement. The arrangement is subject to confirmation.
The enterprise says collaboration with relevant stakeholders will be important in reaching beneficiary communities and mobilising the support required to deliver the programme.
The initiative is being developed by a three-member team led by founder Hassana Issaka Bambara.
Amina Hashim serves as Project Organiser and Social Media Coordinator, while Zainab Ali is the General Secretary and Treasurer.
Through the proposed workshops, the team hopes to promote practical learning and entrepreneurship as pathways to economic empowerment.
Although dates for the training sessions and further implementation details are yet to be announced, Hasat Bambra Enterprise is seeking to build partnerships that will help bring the initiative to communities across Northern Ghana.
The enterprise says its long-term vision is to become a leading skills development organisation in Ghana, creating opportunities for individuals and communities to achieve economic independence through practical training, innovation and entrepreneurship.
