News of Manchester United’s interest in Louis Page was first reported on August 9.
This was prior to Manchester United’s move for Carlos Baleba, with it unclear what the club’s next move would be after the Youri Tielemans deal.
United’s opening offer for Page was rejected by Leicester, and while the club went on to secure a deal for Baleba, the interest in the Foxes talent never went away.
Page is regarded as a player for the future, who could make a small impact now even if he does join.
Jacob Devaney and Dan Gore’s loan exits could both become permanent, and creates space in the squad for the potential new signing.
United’s interest has now been revisited on transfer Deadline Day, with the Red Devils pushing to get a deal done before 11pm.
