Adom Kyei-Duah’s Handshake With Charles Awurum — What The Pastor Said Will Catch Your Attention

Ghanaian pastor Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah has shared a special moment with Nigerian actor Charles Awurum during a church visit arranged by Ghanaian actor and comedian Lil Win for prayers.

The encounter saw the founder and leader of the Believers Worship Center interact warmly with the Nigerian entertainer, reflecting a relationship that, according to the pastor, had developed through previous meetings in Kumasi and Accra.

During the interaction, Adom Kyei-Duah recalled the occasions when Awurum had visited him outside the church setting before they finally met at the house of God.

“You came to me in Kumasi, visited my old house and dined with me. You also came to see me in Accra, and now we are finally in the house of God. That is why I am giving you this handshake,” the pastor said.

The statement highlighted the significance the pastor attached to their meeting at the church, where Awurum had reportedly been brought for prayers through the efforts of Lil Win.

The handshake became a notable moment during the visit, with Adom Kyei-Duah using the occasion to acknowledge the actor’s previous visits and welcome him into the religious environment.

Awurum, known for his roles in Nigerian movies and his distinctive comic performances, was in Ghana for the encounter that brought together personalities from the country’s entertainment and religious communities.

Lil Win’s involvement in arranging the church visit also drew attention to the connections between Ghanaian and Nigerian entertainers, who have continued to interact through film, comedy and other professional engagements.

The visit offered an opportunity for the Nigerian actor to meet the Ghanaian preacher in a setting focused on prayer and spiritual fellowship.

Adom Kyei-Duah’s remarks suggested that the meeting held personal significance for him because it followed earlier encounters with Awurum in different locations.

By referring to their meetings in Kumasi and Accra, the pastor recalled the relationship they had built before the actor’s arrival at the church.

His statement also placed emphasis on the importance of their latest encounter, which took place in a religious setting rather than during an ordinary social visit.

Although the handshake was presented as a gesture of welcome and recognition, the pastor’s own explanation provided the clearest indication of why he chose to offer it.

The moment has added another memorable interaction to the visit, bringing together a Nigerian movie star, a Ghanaian entertainer and a prominent Ghanaian pastor.

For Awurum, the church visit provided an opportunity to receive prayers, while Adom Kyei-Duah used the occasion to acknowledge their previous meetings and extend a warm gesture to his guest.
