Trabzonspor fans launched a scathing attack on manager Fatih Taki over his decision to utilize Mohamed Salah on the pitch, particularly during the league match against Amed SK on Monday.
The game, part of the third round of the competition, saw Salah score his team’s only goal in the 11th minute, while Trabzonspor conceded two goals through Yerla Sür and Gift Orban.
There was widespread outrage regarding the team’s overall performance, and specifically Salah’s positioning and performance compared to the rest of the players, who, according to fans, were not at their best.
One fan wrote on social media: “Salah applauded the stands at the end of the match. I was so embarrassed I wished I could disappear into the ground. I swear to God, we are sorry, big brother.”
