In preparation for the 2027 general elections, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Wednesday in Abuja inaugurated a National Reconciliation and Peace Committee.
The National Chairman of the ADC, Senator David Mark, said the committee was established to address grievances arising from the party’s recent primaries and ensure that every member feels valued.
According to him, while elections determine who carries the party’s flag, they must never determine who belongs to the party, stressing that both victorious and unsuccessful aspirants remain important assets to the ADC.
Mark said the committee was constituted in line with Article 91 of the ADC Constitution and the party’s “handshake” philosophy of building bridges across differences.
