Indie newbie, a gaming classic and an addictive mobile title are all free on Epic
It's a good week to grab free games.
This week’s batch of freebies from the Epic Games Store is quite the mix, with familiar names included alongside newcomers.
Find the details below, and, as always, if you want that third free title for mobile you will need to download the Epic Games Store standalone app.
You can click or tap on the names of the games to be taken to their store pages where you can claim each title, assuming you’re logged into your Epic Games account.
A mystery adventure set at the collapse site of a live survival audition show. Trapped contestants communicate with each other—and the outside world through social media—as they wait for rescue. But trust begins to crack, and survival becomes far more complicated.
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster – PC
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is a genre defining experience that established innovative game-play mechanics that are a staple of the FPS and RPG genre today. Survive the wretched corridors of the Von Braun. Your training has prepared you for this.
Bridge Constructor Studio – Mobile
Bridge Constructor Studio is the latest in the best-selling series. Test your engineering skills in this physics-based puzzle game, combining the best of previous titles with a modern, charming visual style—the ultimate experience for creative builders!
Buried Stars continues the long tradition of narrative-focused games being given away by Epic. While this isn’t our cup of tea, it’s always nice to experiment with other genres, so maybe we will give one of these a chance someday.
The System Shock 2 Remaster is the big ticket item this week. The System Shock games are unmissable parts of gaming but they can be unforgiving, which again makes this freebie all the better as it allows anyone to try it out without putting money on the line.
Finally, we’ve played a decent amount of the original Bridge Constructor before, but never Bridge Constructor Studio. We’ll have to download this one and see if it’s as addictive as the original.
