Partners In Health Malawi staff drawn across the country converged at Neno Community ground to celebrate Staff annual Wellness Day.
The event complements Wellness Wednesday, a weekly one-hour session during which staff participate in various sports and physical activities to promote health, teamwork, and well-being.
Speaking on behalf of the executive director, Partners In Health Malawi Operations Director, Joe Khalani, emphasized the importance of staff well-being in a quest to the physical, mental, and social well-being of staff.
Khalani: the well-being of each staff member is fundamental
“The core theme, ‘Better staff, better services, stronger communities,’ reflects Partners In Health belief that caring for staff directly improves healthcare quality and strengthens the communities they serve,” said Khalani.
According to Khalani the well-being of each staff member at the institution is fundamental to achieving health equity, social justice, and sustainable development among people, saying as part of these wellness initiatives, staff also have access to disease screening services.
Partners In Health launched its Wellness Program in December 2022 to promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of its staff in the country.
