The All Progressives Congress (APC) has felicitated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a loyal, visionary and committed leader whose contributions have continued to strengthen governance and national development.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said Shettima’s attainment of the age of 60 was not only a personal milestone but also a celebration of a life dedicated to selfless service, intellectual excellence and nation-building.
The ruling party recalled Shettima’s tenure as Governor of Borno State, noting that he provided courageous and compassionate leadership during one of the most difficult periods in the state’s history.
According to the APC, his investments in infrastructure, education and human capital development laid the foundation for the recovery and rebuilding of the North-East region following years of insecurity.
The party also commended his performance as Senator representing Borno Central, saying his legislative interventions reflected a strong commitment to socio-economic advancement and national cohesion.
The APC further praised Shettima’s role as Vice President, stating that he has continued to demonstrate loyalty, strategic economic foresight and dedication to the successful implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The statement highlighted his leadership of the National Economic Council (NEC) and involvement in key economic initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development, industrial growth and prosperity for Nigerians.
The party described the Vice President as an invaluable pillar of the APC-led administration, applauding his intellectual depth, humility and bridge-building approach to leadership.
“Senator Shettima continues to exemplify loyalty, strategic economic foresight and unwavering commitment to the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration,” the statement said.
