Nigerian music star Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, has sparked relationship speculation after announcing that she has “left the streets.”

The Grammy-winning singer made the remark during a TikTok livestream, suggesting that she is no longer interested in navigating the dating scene.

Although Tems did not provide details about what prompted the announcement, she explained that one of her frustrations with relationships has been dealing with men who she feels waste her time.

She said she had reached a point where she no longer wanted to entertain such experiences.

“I don’t like it when guys waste my time. But for me, never again. I don’t have that problem anymore. I have left the streets; I wouldn’t even say I was ever on the streets,” she said.

Her comment has since stirred curiosity among fans, particularly because she stopped short of explaining whether the statement signals a new relationship or simply a decision to step away from dating.

Tems has previously spoken about the kind of attention she receives from men.

In an interview with YouTuber Korty EO last year, the singer said some men who approached her appeared more interested in her physical appearance than in forming a genuine relationship.

She explained that she would rather have meaningful and deeper connections than relationships driven primarily by physical attraction.
