Rotary 5-aside: Draw for 10th edition held, stage is set

The stage is set for the 10th edition of the Rotary 5-Aside Tournament, with 60 Rotary Clubs, 24 Rotaract Clubs and teams from leading corporate organisations set to compete in a day of football, fellowship and service.

The official tournament draws took place on Thursday, 17th September 2026, during the fellowship of the Rotary Club of Kampala Ssese Islands at Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at Kampala Quality Sports Complex, bringing together the Rotary and Rotaract community, corporate teams, partners and supporters for a day of competition and fellowship.

Among the corporate teams participating are CIC, Pride Bank, PKF, FINCA, Old Mutual, Four Corners, Supreme MarKa, Centenary Bank, KCCA and NCBA Bank.

The President of the Rotary Club of Kiwatule hinted that the tournament represents an important milestone for the Rotary community.

“This 10th edition is about bringing people together through football, fellowship and service. We are proud to have Rotary Clubs, Rotaract Clubs and corporate teams coming together for what promises to be a memorable day,” said Nkangi.

The Rotary 5-Aside Tournament has grown into a platform where Rotary and Rotaract members connect beyond their clubs, strengthen relationships and celebrate the spirit of service through sport.

Fixtures

Fabian Kasi, District Governor-Elect, was the Chief Drawer.

Kasi emphasised the tournament as an opportunity for participating organisations, partners and supporters to engage with the Rotary community while supporting initiatives focused on community impact.

Malcom Mpamizo, the Chair of the 5- A- Side 2026, anticipates a competitive tournament at Kampala Quality Sports Complex this Saturday.
