Greater Accra Division Two League begins with 80 clubs chasing promotion

The 2026/27 Greater Accra Regional Division Two League has started, with 80 clubs beginning their campaigns across five zones in pursuit of promotion to the national Division One League.
The new season officially got under way on Friday, as teams from across the region set their sights on winning their respective zones and progressing to the Middle League.
Each of the five zones contains 16 clubs. The winners of those zones will qualify for the Middle League, where they will compete for the competitions ultimate reward: promotion to Ghanas Division One League.
Soccabet has joined the competition as title sponsor for the 2026/27 season. Its involvement provides a major commercial boost for the league and supports efforts to raise the profile of lower-tier football in the Greater Accra Region.
Matches throughout the campaign will be played with Ashlid Sports-branded footballs. The sponsors designated match balls will be used at venues across all five zones.
There will also be live television coverage, with Clear TV Ghana bringing matches to supporters beyond the stadiums. The arrangement will allow fans to follow the progress of their clubs and watch the action from home.
The five-zone format creates a route to the Middle League for the teams that finish as zonal champions. Clubs will therefore be competing not only for local honours, but also for the opportunity to take the next step towards the national Division One League.
The partnership between Soccabet, Ashlid Sports and Clear TV Ghana is expected to strengthen the leagues commercial appeal and visibility as the season progresses.
With all 80 clubs now involved, the 2026/27 Greater Accra Regional Division Two League has begun its campaign to identify the regions zonal champions and the teams that will advance to the Middle League.
