Don’t sell Abia’s future because of inducement from desperate politicians – Gov Otti cautions Abia voters

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has cautioned voters against allowing politicians to influence their choices ahead of the 2027 general election with money and material gifts, including rice and wrappers.
Governor Otti gave the warning on Sunday in Aba while speaking as a guest at the Second Session of the Seventh Synod of the Anglican Communion, Diocese of Aba Ngwa North.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, Otti urged the electorate to consider the long-term implications of their political choices rather than allowing immediate material benefits to determine their decisions at the polls.
He alleged that some politicians who had contributed to the underdevelopment of Abia State for more than 24 years were again seeking to return to power at all costs.
He maintained that some of the politicians seeking the support of Abia residents were responsible for the problems his administration was currently addressing. He warned voters against being deceived by their renewed political activities.
“They are all over again. But the Bible says surely they shall proceed no further. Please, let us be careful.
“Don’t use the ₦5,000, the ₦10,000, the wrapper or the rice they will give you and close the destiny of Abians for the next four years,” Governor Otti cautioned Abia voters.
