The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Enugu State has commended the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) for the successful conduct of the local government council election held across the state, last Saturday.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Dr Afam Ani, yesterday, the coalition said the election was conducted peacefully and orderly across the state.

“CRPP Enugu State commends ENSIEC for its commitment to ensuring a peaceful electoral process and for creating an atmosphere that enabled voters to exercise their civic responsibilities without fear, intimidation, or hindrance,” the statement said.

The coalition also commended ENSIEC for what it described as providing all participating political parties with a level playing field throughout the electoral process.

“The commission’s engagement with stakeholders, adherence to established electoral guidelines, and transparent administration of the election contributed significantly to the confidence reposed in the process by political parties and the electorate,” it said.

CRPP also appreciated the security agencies, election officials, political parties, candidates, party agents, observers, the media and the people of Enugu State for their cooperation in maintaining peace before, during, and after the election.

“We encourage all stakeholders to continue to uphold the principles of democracy, political tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, which are essential for the progress and development of our state,” the coalition said.

It congratulated ENSIEC on the conduct of the election and commended all participants for contributing to what it described as a peaceful electoral exercise.
