By Ernest De-Graft Egyir

Insight.

November marks a critical stage in the organisation’s performance journey. With only two months remaining in 2026, CEOs must intensify their focus on delivering strategic commitments, closing performance gaps, and ensuring that resources are directed towards the results that matter most.

Year-end performance does not improve through pressure alone. It requires clear priorities, timely decisions, executive ownership, and consistent monitoring of progress.

The CEO must create the urgency and discipline needed to move the organization from intention to measurable results.

Key Strategies:

1. Review organizational performance against approved annual targets.
2. Identify the most important results that must be delivered before December 31.
3. Align executive responsibilities with outstanding performance commitments.
4. Remove operational and decision-making bottlenecks.
5. Establish regular performance reviews to monitor progress.

Actionable Tip.

• Ask your executive team: “What must we accomplish in the remaining weeks of 2026 to confidently say that we delivered on our most important commitments?”

Why This Matters?

The final two months can significantly influence an organization’s annual results, stakeholder confidence, and readiness for the next financial year.

When the CEO establishes clear priorities and reinforces accountability, the organization is better positioned to finish the year with discipline and purpose.
