Euromatch NPFL: My Players’ Courage, Resilience Were Key In Inter Lagos Win —Doma United Technical Adviser

Doma United Technical Advised Ayeni Alexander has said his players’ courage and resilience were key factors in their 1-0 win against Inter Lagos, **Completesports.com **reports.

Doma United of Gombe continued their impressive start to the 2026/2027 Euromatch NPFL season with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Inter Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Saturday.

Sadiq Rilwan was the hero for Doma United as his 71st minute goal secured the win.

Rilwan rose highest to connect with a sublime header, beating Inter Lagos goalkeeper Bala Favour for his second goal of the season.

The win made it back-to-back victories against Lagos-based opposition, following our opening-day 2–0 victory over Sporting Lagos at the Pantami Stadium.

Commenting after the game, Alexander said in an interview posted on Doma United’s X handle:”The feelings was okay, we are glad that the boys really responded well. It’s not just the tactics and formation we applied but it’s about the readiness of the 11 players on the field of play.

“So I want to appreciate their courage, resilience, dexterity and their composure on and off the ball, so they did well, it was a good performance.

“Doma United’s attention will now turn to their next fixture, as they return to the Pantami Stadium, Gombe, to host Enyimba of Aba on Saturday, 12th September, 2026.
