Junior Stars drawn in Group C for U17 AFCON CECAFA qualifiers ‎

Kenya has been drawn in Group C of the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) CECAFA qualifiers following the draw held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Kigali, Rwanda.

‎‎The regional qualifiers are scheduled to take place in Kigali, Rwanda from October 10 to 19th, 2026.

‎‎The Junior Stars will compete in Group C alongside Djibouti and Tanzania

‎‎The top team from every group will advance to the semi-final stage alongside the best second-placed team across the three groups.

‎‎The best two teams at the Zonal qualifier will represent the CECAFA Zone at the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027.

In Group A, hosts Rwanda will face Sudan, Somalia and South Sudan while Group B features Uganda, Ethiopia and Rwanda.

Junior Stars finished fourth in the 2025 CECAFA U-17 qualifiers that was staged in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
