Bibiani Gold Stars coach Petros Koukouras embraces pressure after Vision FC draw

Bibiani Gold Stars head coach Petros Koukouras says his team must learn to embrace pressure as they seek to improve their fortunes in the Ghana Premier League.Gold Stars were held to a goalless draw by Vision FC in Matchweek 5 on Sunday at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex. The result leaves the Bibiani-based side 15th on the league table with four points from five matches.Speaking after the game, Koukouras stressed that pressure is an unavoidable part of football and urged his players to use it positively."The same question I answered after we won against Dreams FC. Pressure is always in football and we have to find ways how to turn that pressure into something productive. Even diamonds need pressure to become diamonds," he told Gold Stars TV.So when we play for Goldstars, we have to learn how to live with a pressure. If we win a game, then we have pressure to continue the winning ways. If we lose a game, we have a pressure that we need to win the next game. So I don't think that the pressure ever stops in football. Whoever works in football knows that and we learn how to live with it,"Gold Stars will face Basake Holy Stars on October 11.
