MK Party has expelled two MPs and has formally notified the Speaker of the National Assembly to begin the process of removing them from Parliament.

The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party has expelled two of its members citing conduct that allegedly damaged the party's reputation and undermined internal unity.
The two members, Pumlani Kubukeli and Khanyisile Litchfield-Tshabalala were dismissed with immediate effect on Thursday.
MK Party National Spokesperson Sifiso Mahlangu added that the termination followed what it described as actions that were "detrimental to the good name, reputation, integrity and interests of the organisation".
The party said the decision was taken after determining that the conduct attributed to Kubukeli and Litchfield-Tshabalala had also "undermined the unity and organisational discipline of the MK".

Mahlangu said the party has already begun the process of removing the two politicians from the National Assembly.
"Following the termination of their membership, the Party's Secretary-General has written to the Speaker of the National Assembly to formally communicate the decision and to initiate the necessary process for their subsequent removal from the National Assembly," he said.
Party stresses unity and discipline
The MK Party used the announcement to reaffirm its commitment to internal discipline and organisational cohesion.
"The MK reiterates its commitment to organisational unity, discipline and integrity," Mahlangu added.
Moreover, it warned that all members are expected to conduct themselves in line with the party's constitution and in the interests of "unity and comradeship".
Despite the disciplinary action, the party extended well wishes to the former members.
"The office of the President wishes Mr Kubukeli and Dr Litchfield-Tshabalala well in their future endeavours," Mahlangu said in conclusion.
