OPPOSITION leaders Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu are in police custody after police recorded warn and caution statements from them in connection with an alleged offense of treason.
Police spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi said the statements were taken in connection with an alleged violation of Section 43(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
Chilabi said the two were interviewed by investigators and remained in custody.
“The Zambia Police Service will provide further information on the circumstances of the matter as investigations progress,” Chilabi said.
