As high-memory component costs push laptops into higher price brackets across the industry, Samsung has introduced a budget-conscious entry into its portable PC lineup. The newly announced base Galaxy Book6 is positioned as a direct competitor to Apple’s budget-friendly MacBook Neo. Starting at USD 799 (approx. AED 2,932), the new model sits USD 450 (approx. AED 1,652) below previously released flagship Galaxy Book6 configurations, providing everyday consumers and students with an accessible Windows 11 ultrabook that emphasizes battery longevity and dongle-free everyday connectivity.

The new Galaxy Book6 is built around a 14-inch WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) LCD featuring a 60Hz refresh rate, 350 nits of brightness, and a dedicated anti-glare coating designed to minimize reflections in bright office or classroom settings. While Apple’s MacBook Neo offers higher resolution and a brighter 500-nit panel, Samsung counters with a larger physical viewing canvas and a more practical physical port layout.
Where Apple limits its budget machine to just two USB-C ports, Samsung includes two USB Type-C ports, a full-size USB Type-A port, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This configuration allows users to connect external displays, mice, and flash storage simultaneously without needing additional USB-C hubs. The entire laptop measures 15.7mm in thickness and weighs 1.35kg, housed in a streamlined chassis complete with stereo Dolby Atmos speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 1080p webcam.
