Ghana midfielder Amankwah Forson has joined Israeli club H. The 23-year-old central midfielder will remain with the Ligat ha'Al side until 30 June 2027. Forson moves after two seasons with Norwich, having joined the Championship club from Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg in August 2024.
Forson began his senior career with Ghanaian club WAFA SC before moving to Salzburg in February 2021. He subsequently spent loan spells with FC Liefering and SCR Altach, both in Austria, before returning to Salzburg.
The midfielder was part of Salzburg sides that won the Austrian championship in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. He also won the Austrian Youth League with Salzburgs under-18 team in 2020-21.
Forsons permanent move to Norwich in 2024 followed his time in the Salzburg system. The English club paid 4.5m for the Ghanaian, whose current market value is 3m.
Born in Accra, Forson is 1.73m tall and favours his left foot. His move to H. Beer Sheva takes him from Englands second tier to Israels top division.
He joins the Israeli club at the start of the 2026-27 campaign, with his loan scheduled to end on 30 June 2027. Amankwah Forson is now a H. Beer Sheva player on loan from Norwich.
