Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem mourns 2 Christian women killed by Israel in Gaza

The Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, on Saturday mourned two Palestinian Christian women killed by Israel in an airstrike on Gaza City, Anadolu reports. The Israeli army struck an apartment in Gaza City’s Rimal neighborhood, killing five people, including a Christian mother and her daughter, and injuring several others, medical sources told Anadolu. Pizzaballa expressed “deep sorrow and grief” over the death of the two Christian women and offered his condolences to their families. He said a funeral service will take place at 12:00 local time (09:00 GMT) on Saturday at the Church of Saint Porphyrius in Gaza City.
