Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as a distinguished patriot whose life has been defined by public service and devotion to Nigeria.
Sani, in a birthday message issued on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, celebrated Shettima’s journey from banking to becoming Governor of Borno State, Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Vice President.
The Kaduna governor said the Vice President’s 60th birthday offered an opportunity to reflect on his contributions to Nigeria’s development and his impact across various institutions of governance.
According to Sani, Shettima’s career demonstrates intellect, courage, resilience and commitment to the Nigerian people.

He also commended the Vice President for bringing vision, compassion, fortitude and intellectual depth to his various leadership responsibilities.
Sani particularly praised Shettima’s stewardship of the National Economic Council, saying it had strengthened cooperation between the Federal Government and state governments while promoting a coordinated response to the challenges of nation-building.
