Ghana defender Kojo Oppong Peprah says he is ready to embrace the challenge of playing for Turkish giants Fenerbahce after completing his move from French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice.The 24-year-old joined Fenerbahce in a deal reportedly worth more than 10 million euros and was officially unveiled by the club on Saturday.Oppong Peprah said the opportunity to continue improving and take on a new challenge played a major role in his decision to move to Turkey.I always love challenges in my life. For me, the most important thing is to constantly get better, he said during his unveiling.I think I can improve further, both in terms of my long balls and reading the game better. I am very grateful for the warm welcome. I am very happy to have joined this family. I cant wait to wear this jersey.The Ghana international is also familiar with Fenerbahe's passionate support, having faced the Turkish club with Nice last season.He revealed that discussions with Black Stars teammate Alexander Djiku, who previously played for Fenerbahce, also influenced his decision.I spoke with Alexander Djiku. Hearing nice things from someone who played here had an impact on my transfer, he added.Oppong Peprah also expressed his admiration for former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah, a Fenerbahce legend, and regretted not having direct contact with him before completing the move.The defender joined Nice from IFK Norrkping last summer and made 39 appearances across all competitions last season.He also featured for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, playing against England and Croatia.
