Reckitt appoints Chukwumah West Africa GM

Reckitt has appointed Ujunwa Chukwumah as its General Manager for West Africa, effective September 15, 2026.

Chukwumah becomes the first Nigerian and first woman to occupy the position in the region, according to the company.

She joins Reckitt with more than 19 years of commercial and leadership experience across Africa, having held senior roles at Diageo and Procter & Gamble.

Before her appointment, she served as Commercial Director for West and Central Africa at Diageo, where she was responsible for businesses across several African markets.

In her new role, Chukwumah will oversee Reckitt’s West African operations, with responsibilities including commercial performance, business growth, talent development and organisational capability.

She said she was “delighted” to join Reckitt and looked forward to working with its teams, customers and partners to grow the company’s brands and deliver sustainable growth across the region.

Reckitt operates in markets including Nigeria, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
