Lufthansa will operate its last Airbus A340-600 services on October 18. These trips will be from Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). The airline announced the move in April as part of its *"accelerated capacity and fleet measures" *in response to labor disputes and increasing aviation fuel costs.
