MultiChoice is overhauling its DStv packages in Zimbabwe, with a new line-up taking effect on 5 November 2026 that promises more channels and, in most cases, lower prices.
In a notice on its website, DStv Zimbabwe said it would introduce new packages and retire several familiar ones, bringing customers new channels, more sport and what it called “an exciting new offering”.
The changes are part of a wider relaunch across most of DStv’s African markets on the same date.
Existing customers do not need to do anything. Anyone whose package is affected will be moved to its replacement automatically.
“There’s nothing you need to do right now. If you’re an active DStv customer and your package is affected, it will update automatically when the new line-up launches on 5 November,” the company said.
The entry-level Starter package, at US$9 a month, replaces Lite at the same price and offers more than 57 channels.
Select, with at least 97 channels, replaces Family and costs US$20 a month, a dollar less than Family’s US$21. Select also absorbs the US$16 Access package, which disappears from the new line-up.
Sports, which replaces Compact, costs US$30 a month, down from Compact’s US$32, and carries more than 113 channels. It also adds more sports channels than Compact did, including SuperSport Football Plus, SuperSport Extra and SuperSport Cricket.
A new Movies and Series package costs US$32 a month and also offers more than 113 channels.
At the top of the range, Ultimate replaces Premium and costs US$60 a month for at least 130 channels.
