VIDEO: Tinubu, Atiku Are Old, They Should Allow Younger Ones To Lead – Oyinlola

Former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola has said President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar should retire from active politics and allow younger Nigerians to take over the country’s leadership.

Oyinlola, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said he supports Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who is seeking the presidency on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), for the 2027 election.

Speaking on Channels Television’s* Politics Today* on Wednesday, the former governor argued that age should be a consideration in determining who seeks public office.

“When I was in Osun, I made a declaration based on my experience in office that anybody above 50 should not aspire to be governor of a state,” Oyinlola said.

He maintained that Tinubu and Atiku should step aside to give younger elements an opportunity to lead Nigeria.
