Kibuli Murder Suspect Remanded to Luzira Prison

A one 47 year old driver, Vincent Nsamba Arnold alias Sitenda, has been remanded to Luzira Upper Prison over the alleged murder of Afrigo Band Musician Moses Matovu in Kibuli.

Nsamba appeared before Makindye Grade One Senior Magistrate Aidah Nanjala on 29th September 2026, where he was informed that he is accused of killing Matovu on September 24, 2026, at Market B Zone in Kibuli Parish, Makindye Division, Kampala District, with malice aforethought.

When the charge was read to him, Nsamba told the court that he had heard and understood it.

However, the magistrate cautioned him not to plead to the charge because the magistrate’s court has no jurisdiction to hear murder cases.

The prosecution, led by Akingo Jamaima, told the court that investigations into the matter are still ongoing.

The magistrate informed Nsamba of his right to apply for bail in the High Court and said he would be provided with an advocate during the hearing.

Nsamba will return to court on November 3, 2026, for mention of the case.

Nsamba appeared composed in the dock and had his fractured arm concealed under a red checked shirt.

He was brought to court under tight security alongside a woman identified as Tumusiime Rose , who was later driven away by security personnel.
