Namal Granted Bail in One Case! Travel Ban Imposed! Barred from Influencing Witnesses! | Sri Lanka Latest News

A court has ordered the release of Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa on bail in connection with the money laundering allegations related to the Airbus deal.

Accordingly, Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasekara ordered that the suspect, Namal Rajapaksa, be released on a cash bail of Rs. 500,000 and two surety bonds of Rs. 30 million each, Ada Derana’s court correspondent reported.

The court also imposed a travel ban on the suspect and ordered that the relevant authorities, including the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration, be informed of the order.

In addition, the Magistrate imposed a further bail condition requiring the suspect to refrain from influencing or interfering with witnesses.
