Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore, Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie, has urged the youth wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region to unite and work hard to secure victory for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2028 elections.
According to him, unity, commitment and hard work remain critical to the party’s efforts to return to government.
“If we stay together, with unity, commitment and hard work, victory in 2028 is assured,” he said.
Dr Ayew Afriyie made the call when the Ashanti Regional Constituency Youth Organisers, led by Regional Youth Organiser Martin Ameyaw, paid a courtesy call on him.
The visit was to formally introduce the leadership of the group and present him with a citation in recognition of his support, commitment and dedication to the campaign of Dr Bawumia.
The youth organisers also announced their decision to honour Dr Ayew Afriyie as their Patron, a role he gladly accepted.
He described the youth organisers as his political family and pledged his continued support for their activities.
As part of his continued support for the youth and the party, Dr Ayew Afriyie presented GH¢100,000 as seed capital towards the Youth Organisers’ health welfare initiative.
He urged them to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures in their respective constituencies and remain committed to the NPP’s cause.
He stressed that a united and dedicated youth base would be essential to the party’s prospects in the 2028 elections.
