Princess Gloria Akobundu, a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) Women Mobilisation Wing and secretary of the APC PCC Faith-based Mobilisation (Christians), has called for continuity in implementing the federal government’s reforms.
She said it is essential to the completion of Nigeria’s transformation.
Akobundu made the call at the APC Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Summit, convened by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
She said Nigerian women had a crucial role to play in sustaining the administration’s progress, urging them to mobilise support across the six geopolitical zones ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“I urge women voters everywhere to ensure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the consolidation of the good works already set in motion.
“Nigeria is on the path of renewed greatness. Continuity is essential if we are to complete the transformation that has begun,” she said.
The summit also witnessed the formal integration of more than 500 women’s support groups from across the six geopolitical zones into a unified structure under the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) Women Wing.
Earlier, Senator Oluremi Tinubu had said the Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0, themed “From Reforms to Prosperity”, was no longer a slogan but a programme whose impact was being felt across the country.
“Our economy is stabilising. Inflation is coming down.
Our foreign reserves are growing. Investors are returning to Nigeria. Our farmers are getting more support. Our children in the universities are now able to access student loans through the NELFUND scheme, just to mention a few,” she said.
The First Lady charged the women to return to their respective states and communities with the message of the administration’s achievements and its plans for the future.
“Tell everyone as you go back to your various states that you have a leader who is bold enough to take difficult decisions in the beginning. He is a leader who can be trusted to lead us into prosperity,” she said.
