Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain have deported over 336,000 foreign workers in 2026 as Ethiopians, Ugandans and Nigerians face Middle East crackdown

Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain and Jordan have deported or ordered the deportation of thousands of foreign workers in 2026, while the United Arab Emirates has also stepped up removals of residency violators, with Africans including Ethiopians, Ugandans, Nigerians and Kenyans among those affected.
